Student community for strategic games at the University of Innsbruck.
Here you can find answers to common questions about DECK, our meetings, and our games.
DECK is a student association at the University of Innsbruck for strategic card games, deckbuilders, pen-and-paper role-playing games, and tabletop formats such as Warhammer 40,000 and Kill Team.
DECK is mainly aimed at students from all semesters as well as employees of the University of Innsbruck. If you are interested in strategic games, pen-and-paper role-playing games, or tabletop, you are welcome.

Not necessarily. For many games, materials can be explained, shared, or prepared together. If you already have your own decks, miniatures, or rulebooks, you are of course welcome to bring them.
We focus on games such as Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Altered, Star Wars: Destiny, deckbuilders, pen-and-paper role-playing games, Warhammer 40,000, and Kill Team.
You can find a more detailed overview on our Games page.

Yes. That is one of the reasons DECK exists: you can find new players, join existing groups, or start a group yourself.
Our meetings usually take place at the Technology Campus of the University of Innsbruck, often around Technikerstraße 13b. Occasionally, we also meet near the main university building or university library at Innrain 52.
The exact rooms and times are announced through our announcements, events, or WhatsApp community.
Dates may vary depending on the semester, room availability, and event planning. Current information is published through our announcements, Instagram, and WhatsApp community.
At a game night, players come together to try different games, join open play sessions, test decks, explain rules, or simply spend an evening playing strategic games together.

Many meetings are free. For certain events, tournaments, drafts, or external events, costs may arise, for example for entry, materials, or boosters. We will always announce such information in advance.
Our website is available in German and English. At meetings, we speak German or English depending on the group. International students are welcome.
