Student community for strategic games at the University of Innsbruck.
At DECK, we focus on strategic card games, deckbuilders, tabletop systems, and pen-and-paper role-playing games. Our selection of games grows with the interests of the community.
DECK is open to many different game systems. Some formats are played regularly, while others depend on interest, events, or available players.
If you would like to try a specific game or introduce a format yourself, feel free to contact us.
Magic: The Gathering is one of our central card games. We offer several ways to get started or join existing games.
For Yu-Gi-Oh!, we offer space for casual games, deck discussions, and shared play sessions.
Disney Lorcana combines trading card gameplay, well-known characters, and strategic decisions. It is also suitable for newer players.
Flesh and Blood is a tactical card game with a strong focus on resource management, timing, and direct duels.
Altered is a modern trading card game with a focus on exploration, factions, and alternative objectives.
Star Wars: Destiny combines cards, dice, and characters from the Star Wars universe.
Riftbound is one of the newer formats that has attracted interest in our community.
Seeker Chronicles is another card game system that can be explored and introduced within the community.
Apex: Carnivor is another strategic card game that can be introduced in play sessions if there is interest.
In addition to classic trading card games, we also play deckbuilding games and strategic card games without a collectible card structure.
Star Realms is a fast science-fiction deckbuilder focused on direct duels, resource management, and tactical decisions.
Robot Quest Arena combines deckbuilding with arena combat and tactical positioning.
Mindbug is a compact card game with simple rules, many meaningful decisions, and surprising turns.
Warhammer 40,000 is a tabletop system with armies, miniatures, dice, and tactical battles in a grim science-fiction universe.
Kill Team is a smaller skirmish format set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It is well suited for more compact games and for getting started with the tabletop hobby.
In addition to card and tabletop games, we are also interested in pen-and-paper role-playing games. These focus on shared storytelling, characters, decisions, and creative adventures.
Whether as a player or game master: if you want to start a group, introduce a system, or simply try it out, DECK is the right place for you.
Our list of games is not final. DECK should continue to develop with the interests of its members.
If you know a game that could fit DECK or want to organize a format yourself, feel free to contact us.
